Berlin's first professional race for years was a sensational success. At the race of the category 1.1 on the 22nd of May, 22 top-class international and national teams were at the start. The race was determined by a nine-headed top group for a long time. The group caught up two kilometers from the finish and it came to a mass sprint. Marcel Kittel won the sprint on the longest home stretch of the world. After the outstanding premiere, the ProRace Berlin has come closer to the aim of being a part of the UCI WorldTour in 2013 and should become the most importend race in Germany.
